I confess, my shoes are everywhere! After watching the video below, I got my shoes organized! Now I no longer have two layers of shoes piled on the closet floor, I can walk into the closet with the light off and not trip!

Having too many shoes is a common problem that plagues both men and women. Not only do shoes take up a lot of space, but they can also be difficult to store properly.

Why Should You Store and Organize Your Shoes?

If your shoes are left lying around, not only could they could become damaged, lost or ruined, someone could trip on them and get hurt:

  • the dogs could use your favorite slippers as a chew toy - suede shoes are nice and soft to a puppy's young teeth!
  • the vacuum could suck up the shoe strings of your expensive running shoes - OH the noise that makes!
  • if left on the doorstep outside, the shivering mice could use them as a comfy, warm home - that would be an eye opener when you next slid your foot into the shoe!
  • when your granddaughter decides to play dress-up with your designer shoes - and throws them away when she was told to clean up ... YIKES!

Clever Storage Solutions:

If you are looking for solutions to store and organize your shoes and keep your home clutter-free, you have come to the right place!

In this blog post, we will discuss some easy and effective ways to store your shoes in every space of your home.

The key to storing your shoes in a way that doesn't take up too much space or look cluttered is to be creative. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to get creative with shoe storage! Here are some ideas:

In a SMALL closet: If you have a small closet, make use of the space underneath your clothes hanging on hangers. You can organize your shoes in plastic clear storage boxes or on shoe storage shelves.

In a WALK-IN closet: If you have a walk-in closet, install shelves or a shoe rack along the perimeter of the room. This will keep your shoes off the floor and make it easy to see everything at a glance.

In the bedroom: If you don't have a lot of closet space in your bedroom, try storing your shoes in an ottoman with a lid. You can also use baskets or bins under your bed. Just be sure to choose containers that are durable and easy to access.

In the living room: If you often find yourself tripping over shoes in your living room, it's time to get them off the floor! A great way to do this is to hang a shoe organizer on the back of a door or on a wall.

You can also use a coffee table with drawers or shelves for storing your shoes. Just be sure not to put too many shoes in one place, or you'll end up with a cluttered look.

In the entryway: The entryway is one of the most important places to keep tidy, since it's usually the first thing guests see when they come over. A great way to store shoes in the entryway is with a bench that has built-in cubbies or drawers.

You can also use hooks on the wall to hang bags and coats, leaving more floor space for neatly arranged rows of shoes.
